Walmart is opening a store and a store of its own in Wisconsin to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American Civil War, the company announced.
The Wisconsin-based retailer, which also owns Target, said the new store will be a joint venture between Walmart and Wisconsin-headquartered retailer The Home Depot, which operates stores in the state.
The store will open in the Uptown section of downtown Milwaukee, the Walmart Milwaukee website said.
It’s not the first time Walmart has opened a store to mark the anniversary.
In November 2016, it opened a Target store in the same neighborhood.
