Independence Mall in Georgia is hiring more than 50 independent contractors to perform landscaping, parking and other work.
The independent contractors will work for up to five weeks, and some are eligible for up, two and a half years of unemployment benefits.
The job offers are being offered by the Atlanta-based nonprofit organization, the Georgia Labor Council.
The group also operates the city-owned and operated Mall of Georgia.
The jobs are part of the city’s $60 million investment in the mall.
The project includes the addition of 1,200 new parking spaces and a new escalator.
It also includes a new plaza that will provide more space for shopping and dining, the opening of a new food court, and new public art.
The city says the independent contractors are eligible to receive a $15 hourly wage, with benefits.
They can also earn up to $10,000 per month in overtime, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.
